The Academy has announced the VFX short list for the 84th Academy Awards. Two films that The Third Floor helped bring to the big screen are on the list: "Captain America: The First Avenger" (The Third Floor provided postvis) and "X-Men: First Class" (The Third Floor provided previs). On Jan. 19 at the Academy’s Visual Effects Bakeoff five of the ten films will be chosen for final Oscar consideration.
