The Lotus Caves

Long time friend Rpin Suwannath asked The Third Floor to help develop a pitch for his directorial debut: The Lotus Caves. An adaptation of a 1960’s children’s book, the story takes place on the moon, which presented a variety of interesting challenges for the team.

A great deal of technical research was done in conjunction with Rpin and his concept artists that enabled The Third Floor to explore what it might be like to live on the moon in the not-too-distant future. Two complete action sequences were developed, along with several other key moments derived from concept art. Finally, a polished previs movie trailer was assembled to show the studio, Walden Media, what an exciting world The Lotus Caves would present.
